There was once, I was running, I was about to collapse, I couldn't take it anymore, my patrols cheered for me, they waited for me, they didn't just left me behind. I don't know how many people have this kind of experience before, but I was really touched. Though this wasn't during ATC, it was during one of the jihes, but how they cheered really gave me the force to push myself on and run faster. Guides, to many of us, is not only a cca, but a family where no one gets left behind.

So I hope all of us will learn to shoulder all responsibilities as one, and not hope that the tough times will be over and try to find excuses in order for our own benefits. You know deep inside that your conscience is hurting, cos when others care abt u u treat it like nobody's business, just because you are tired.

The tough times are the ones that bond us closer, that makes guiding so memorable for us, and we half only like 1 and a half years left in guides, shall we just treasure it?

When we take over, we will be doing so much of the planning, and there will be less tough times ready. So we actually have half a year left. Let's just treasure it, give our best, and leave guides with no regrets in future. When we look back, we'll know that guides has made a big change to our lives. Look how much we've matured these 2 yrs, the bonds will never be broken. Let's do our best together, and go through thick and thin tgt, we sweat together, cos we are one.

DATE: 20 november - 21 novmber
TIME: 11am at tampines station (meeting time! dun be late) :D

MORE DETAILS:

- will be meeting 1st to have a light snack, then walk walk around.
- will be watching movie! (yay) most likely 2012, raise any objections (:
[NOTE: will be booking so can sit together, so need confirm the number of people coming!]
- after movie can shop around or go ECP play :D
- should be around evening already, then we wil go eat dinner
- AFTER dinner, we will find a place to take picture together (to keep memories)
- after which we will proceed to ruoting house.
[knowing that some of you guys cannot stay overnight, yall can leave then and join us in the morning if you want to. LOLS]
- what we wil be doing aat her house will be a secret!
- after that, the next day we can wake up early to maybe see sunrise?
- then eat breakfast and walk around.

our last atc as trainee is over, coj and pltc next up.
we should like really believe that we can do it.

Dear Year 2s,

Today I attended a talk conducted for our Y6s on the topics of Time
Management, Stress Management and Motivation, in view of the upcoming 'A' Level
Examination.

I enjoyed the session and would like to share some useful pointers I picked
up to cope with EXAMS .

Brrrs
(an acronym for the following pointers, sounds like something you say when
you feel cold)

i) B- Breathe

When you are just about to start your paper, take a few deep breaths. Of course, continue breathing.
Breathing helps to direct oxygen to your brain.
It helps you to feel calmer and your ability to solve problems is enhanced.

ii) R -Read

Read the questions in your exam paper very carefully.
Take note of the question requirements.

iii) R- Remember
Remember and recall the information you need to help you answer the
questions.

iv) R- Relax
Maybe this might sound a little difficult in view of the many questions you
have to cover within the time frame.
Deep breathing will help. Read on to see how you can help yourself relax.

v) S- Smile
Smiling releases endorphins and makes us feel better. Even faking a smile can lead to feeling happier.
People are born with the ability to smile.
You might be thinking "what if the invigilators see you smiling by yourself".
It's all right. Smile and finish up your paper happily!

Revision Tips:

If you have difficulty remembering your facts, try this:
Revise what you have learnt after 10mins.
According to research, your memory is most productive
in the first 10mins, after which it will decline.
However, if you can revise very quickly
what you have just studied after 10mins,
you tend to remember better.
Even better still, revisit the information after a day(
even if you spend a short time)
and you will find yourself retaining the information even better.
One hour study blocks are ideal as you tend to retain information
the best at the start and end of the one hour block.
Go for short breaks after your one hour study blocks.

Physical training every monday at 750 for 30minutes.

4 guides planning the activity at a time . will be chosen by drawing lots(left over from jie item last time, so im going to roooooster people;D)

for the first time, there are already several people who've volunteered to help us plan our PT.
phoebe, cas mun and xinyi!(: (can still volunteer if you want:D)
rostering will start the next time as this is quite a last minute thing and we've got to get used to it first.

of course, there may be tests and assignments to copy(opps) in the morning but jie pt is really meaningful!(:

this is the rough idea and we'll be making adjustments along the way to make it work:D

31/7/09. We will be using the hall for our parade. As there will be year 5 PTM
on Friday night in the hall and we need to help out with the arrangement, we
will have to bring forward our assembly time. Do have a more filling meal

like how stupid h1n1 is becoming more and more apparent in singapore -.-
to think i was happy about h1n1 and couldn't wait for it to spread.
now EVERYTHING are cancelled.

i feel like a horrible ic):
every morning i waste at least 10minutes of our time before continuing with the rehearsal.
that's don't know how many hours of wasted time multiply by the total number of people present already.

In view of the recent developments regarding H1N1 in Singapore, the school management has decided to cancell all camps ( including our full 3-day first aid course ) next week.

Hence, you DO NOT have to come back next week for the course. We'll reschedule it for November this year.That should free up some time for you to finish up your holiday homework if you haven't done so=)

Please inform your friends if you know they don't have a habit of checking their email frequently.

Thank you for the time and effort you all have spent on us. Thank you for teaching us to be a better guide and to let us know what a true guide is. Thank you for planning all the jihes for us and making sure that our skills are up-to-standard. Sorry for the times when we had never done our best, had never pia-ed all the way, had never put in 101% effort and attitude. Sorry for being so blur and making so many mistakes sometimes. We will pia for the last jihe you all have planned for us, and all future jihes. We will try to maintain the standard of DHSCOY, even though it might be tough.

If only time will stop, this year will remain as 2009 forever.... I dun wanna the 42nd batch to leave too, in just 2 more years, which is going to be very very soon..:(
